Less screen time. More real life.

Offly replaces your home screen with the time, the date and five apps you actually need. It pauses the apps that pull at you, on your own rules.

  • Free forever
  • Every feature, no Pro plan
  • No ads, ever
  • No account needed

Android only, for now.

Every feature. For everyone. For free. For good.

Offly has one version, and it's the whole thing. There is no Pro plan waiting behind a paywall, no trial that expires, no locked feature, no ad slot and nothing to buy inside the app. Lifetime access costs nothing, because we think a calmer phone shouldn't be a luxury.

  • No Pro plan, no premium tierThe launcher, pauses, limits, grey screen and kids mode are all included. There is nothing above "free".
  • No ads, no trackingNo ad slots, no advertising SDKs, no selling data. Your usage stays on your phone.
  • No trial, no expiryWhat you install today is what you keep. Free at the start, free after a year, free forever.
  • Nothing to unlock, everNo "upgrade" buttons, no features greyed out, no nag screens. The app you install is the finished app.

Your rules, kept for you

Pick the apps that eat your evenings. Tell Offly when they should rest. When you open one during a pause, you get a plain screen that says who set the rule and exactly when the app comes back. No lecture, no guilt.

Every restriction is framed as your own decision, because it is. Loosening a rule works, but takes effect at midnight, so tonight's impulse doesn't undo this morning's plan.

Kids mode

Hand over the phone, not the internet

A second home screen with only the apps you allow, a time cap per go and per day, a grey screen, and a slow touch that makes frantic tapping impossible. Leaving it needs your PIN or fingerprint.

Made for the restaurant, the car and the waiting room. No browser, no store, no feeds. Three wrong PINs lock the screen for a while, and more time always needs a parent.

Everything a calmer phone needs. Nothing else.

Offly is a launcher, so it changes the one screen you see a hundred times a day. Everything below is optional and off until you turn it on.

  • Five apps on your home screen

Plain text names, no icons, no badges, no widgets. Swipe up for everything else.

  • Pauses on a schedule

Rest social apps after 9 pm, all of Sunday, or during work hours. Pick the hours, the days and the apps.

  • Daily and session limits

Thirty minutes of Instagram a day, in sessions of ten. Offly asks how long before each open, then counts down on screen.

  • Grey screen

Turn colour off for chosen apps, after a set hour, or always. Feeds are far less sticky in black and white.

  • Kids mode

Hand over the phone with a PIN-locked home of allowed apps, a time cap, a grey screen and a slow touch that stops frantic tapping. See it step by step.

  • Hide an app for good

Hide an app for two hours, until Monday, or forever. Forever means it: the only way back is to reinstall.

  • Wind-down and focus

A quiet home screen at bedtime, a 25-minute focus block with an intention, and notifications held until you ask for them.

  • Progress without guilt

Days kept, never days broken. One quiet note a day, a recap on Sunday, and a fresh start every Monday.

Our mission is to get you off your phone and out into the world.

Not to make you feel bad about screen time. To give you back the hours, and then to make the hours worth having: a walk instead of a scroll, a friend across a table instead of a feed, a morning that starts with light instead of notifications. Offly is built to be needed less every week.

Meet peopleA phone that goes quiet at dinner leaves room for the people at the table.
A person with arms open wide facing the sunrise
Move your bodyHalf an hour less scrolling a day is half an hour for a walk, a run or a stretch.

Go outsideA quiet home screen makes the door more interesting than the phone.

What the research says about your phone and your brain

Offly is built on peer-reviewed studies, not slogans. A few of the findings that shaped it.

A man deep in thought, lit from one side
Less headroom

A phone on the desk costs you working memory, even face down and silent.

In two experiments, people whose phone sat on the desk scored lower on working-memory and fluid-intelligence tasks than people whose phone was in another room. The effect was strongest in the people who felt most dependent on their phone.

Children who use a device at bedtime are more than twice as likely to sleep too little.

A meta-analysis of 20 studies and 125,198 children found bedtime device use linked to inadequate sleep, poor sleep quality and daytime sleepiness. Even having the device in the room, unused, raised the odds.

Four friends with their arms around each other, watching a sunset
30 min

Half an hour less social media a day lifted mood for six months.

642 adults were split into four groups. Those who cut social media by 30 minutes a day for two weeks reported fewer depressive symptoms and more life satisfaction, and the gains were still there six months later.

Questions

Common questions

Short answers to the things people ask before they install. Everything else is on the support page.

01Is Offly really free?

Yes. Offly is free forever, and the free version is the only version. There is no Pro plan, no trial, no locked features, no ads and no in-app purchase.

02Does Offly need an account?

No. Offly works without any account or sign-in. Nothing you set up ever needs your name, phone number or email.

03Can I still use all my apps?

Yes. Swipe up to see every installed app. Offly only pauses the apps you choose, for the hours you choose. Every block screen shows exactly when the app comes back.

04Can I go back to my old launcher?

Any time. Your old launcher stays installed. Open Offly settings and tap Switch launcher, or use Android Settings → Apps → Default apps → Home app. Your rules are kept in case you come back.

05What does kids mode do?

It turns your phone into a second, smaller phone for a child: only the apps you allow, a time cap per go and per day, a grey screen and a slow touch. Leaving it needs your PIN or fingerprint. Watch it set itself up.

06Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. iOS does not allow another app to replace the home screen, so Offly is Android-only for now.

07Does Offly read what I do in other apps?

No. Offly uses Android's usage statistics to know how long an app was open. It never sees your messages, photos, browsing or passwords. Read the privacy policy.
