Usage access

Lets Offly see which app is in front and for how long, using Android's usage statistics. Needed for limits, the Usage screen and your baseline.

Cannot see what you do inside an app. Asked during setup. Revoke in Android Settings → Apps → Special app access → Usage access.

Display over other apps

Lets Offly show the "Blocked by you" screen on top of a paused app and the floating time-left pill.

Asked the first time you set a pause. Revoke in Settings → Apps → Special app access → Display over other apps.

Accessibility service

Only for grey screen, slow touch in kids mode, and blocking short videos inside apps. Full explanation on the accessibility disclosure page.

Asked only when you turn one of those on. Revoke in Settings → Accessibility → Offly.

Notification access

Only for Digest and Wind-down, so Offly can hold notifications and show them later. Held notifications stay in memory on the phone and are never sent anywhere.

Asked when you turn on Digest or Wind-down. Revoke in Settings → Notifications → Device and app notifications.

Set as default home app

This is what makes Offly your launcher. Android asks you directly; you can switch back to your old launcher at any time from Offly's settings or from Android Settings → Apps → Default apps.

Run in the background, exact alarms

So schedules start and end on time and countdowns keep counting when the screen is off. Offly asks Android to ignore battery optimisation for itself for this reason.

Offly never asks for contacts, call logs, SMS, microphone, camera, location, files or your advertising ID. Read the privacy policy for what happens to the little data Offly does handle.
