Child safety standards
Offly has no user-generated content, no messaging and no social features, which removes most of the ways an app can put children at risk. This page states our standards anyway, and explains how kids mode is built.
Our standards
- We prohibit any use of Offly to create, store, share or promote child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or to exploit or endanger children. Offly has no feature that could host such content, and we will report any attempt we become aware of to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, in India, the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
- Offly does not collect data from children and is not directed at them. See the children section of the privacy policy.
- We comply with applicable child safety laws, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (India) and Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
How kids mode protects a child
Kids mode is a feature a parent turns on for a child on the parent's own Android phone. While it's on: only apps the parent allowed are visible; the screen is grey; touch is slowed; time is capped per go and per day; settings and every other app are locked behind the parent's PIN or fingerprint; and no data about the session is collected or sent anywhere.
Report a concern
If you believe Offly is being used in a way that harms a child, or you have any child-safety concern about the app, email hello@beoffly.com with "Child safety" in the subject. A named person reads these within one working day. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local police first (in India, dial 112 or Childline 1098).
